Eagle Outreach Ministries
Through various Christian ministry programs, Eagle Outreach Ministries is dedicated to supporting the children and families of inmates to ensure every child knows love. These ministries are designed to socialize, mentor, care for and provide community support for children, while encouraging them to experience the personal saving grace of Jesus Christ.
Christmas Ministry
For a child, no other holiday is as significant as Christmas. To ensure every child is included in the celebration of Christ's life, Eagle Outreach Ministries partners with the Prison Fellowship Ministry's Angel Tree Christmas program. Gifts are not only distributed to the children of inmates, but every family member in a caregiver's home. Hand delivering gifts provides an opportunity to remind every child that they are special to the community and to God, and that Jesus loves them.
Camping Ministry
Summer camp is an opportunity for children to express themselves, interact with other children and enjoy nature. The Camping Ministry provides nearly 40 hours of Christian life skills so children can learn to relate to self, others, and God. Eagle Outreach Ministries partners with Prison Fellowship's Angel Tree camping ministry. Through this program, each child experiences a full week in a loving, caring environment.
Connections Ministry
The goal of the Connections Ministry is to provide support and services to the children of inmates and the caregivers that support them. This program not only connects families with services from local churches and existing social agencies, but also connects Eagle Outreach Ministries with the children and families personally. Volunteers may participate in a child's birthday, or take a group of children to a concert of sporting event. In addition, the ministry will also assist with special needs such as food, furniture, or coaching for job interviews.
Mentoring Ministry
Regular one-on-one time is the single most powerful way to help a child understand that he or she is loved. Schools teach knowledge. Godly mentoring teaches the child how to be “Christ-like” in responding to the challenges of life. Passing on that legacy is the best way to help a child succeed in today's culture. Mentoring may include hiking or fishing trips, concerts, help with school work, or other activities.
Life Skills Ministry
Many children of inmates do not have any means to get an education beyond high school without assistance. Sponsorships may be provided for children that we are mentoring or connecting with on a regular basis.
